It was great to sum up the session at South St Paul local issues this morning. Bonding bill, property tax relief, a ban on crypto kiosks and a rescue for Hennepin Healthcare were the highlights. #Minnesota #CD2 #KleinforCongress

Today we passed a ban on cryptocurrency kiosks off the Senate floor on a 57-10 bipartisan vote. We heard from law enforcement and senior citizens that these devices were being used to rob seniors of their life savings—and I was proud to vote yes. I’m hoping the House will pass can become law this year.

Last week the Commerce committee passed a ban on cryptocurrency kiosks. We heard from law enforcement and seniors that these devices were used to defraud Minnesotans of thousands of dollars. The bill went to the senate floor and I look forward to voting yes.

Today in the Commerce committee we passed unanimously a bill to ban cryptocurrency kiosks in Minnesota (SF 3868, Hemmingsen-Jaeger). The best way to foster innovation in this emerging industry is to root out bad actors who are defrauding Minnesota seniors.
