Mr HILL: Be like Joe: be prudent and don't buy crypto, because he doesn't have any. Is merely hoping investors are listening to our hearing and your warnings, and being cautious, enough? What else do we need to do? ...

Mr HILL: This is still a question about your current regulatory scope: is there some way in there given the consumer issues? The second question is, given you've said there's a regulatory gap, how would ASIC recommend expediting crypto regulation to offer more protection to investors? I'm interested in the consumer protection angle. Perhaps you could summarise that for the committee. No doubt everyone in Australia is listening to our oversight hearing today and heard your warning that this is a speculative bubble!

Mr Longo : One would hope they have better things to do than listen to me on a Friday afternoon!
