Crypo backers want us to treat crypto like a financial asset when it comes to listing them on ETFs or creating a crypto reserve, but when it comes to taxing them like a financial asset, suddenly they deserve an exception?

Missed this yesterday.
19 Democrats (including Chuck Schumer.....) joined Republicans in voting to repeal a Biden rule requiring cryptocurrency brokers to adhere to the same tax reporting rules as stock brokers.
A yes vote is a pro-fraud, pro-tax-evasion vote here.
