Ten ideas to make California better: 1/ Build three new UCs 📖 Californians are having trouble sending their kids to our own schools. That makes no sense. BTW, UC Merced took 20 years. That's unacceptable. 2/ Move the state capital to SF or LA 🏢 We chose Sacramento in 1854 because SF was subject to naval attacks and LA's population was 1,500. Let's revisit this ~200 year old decision. 3/ Make the DMV an app 😡 Why are we still going in person? 4/ Pay state taxes and fees in crypto 🔐 California should accept USDC, USDG, etc for any fees or taxes. 5/ Text the Governor 💬💬 Reaching people in government is too hard. You should be able to text the Governor. Ethan's cell is 650-309-4136 6 6/ CA Token 🔒 California should issue its own token, backed by USDC. People could opt in to receive benefits or refunds through that instead of fiat. 7/ Opt in CEQA 🚜🚜 Projects are presumed approved unless a local community opts in to CEQA review with a majority vote. Ends abuse of lawsuits blocking housing and transit. 8/ Equity stake in every company 💵💵 Instead of fees and taxes, California takes a 10-50 bps ownership stake in every company launched here. (Also, lets end the practice of companies incorporating in Delaware and actually make it good to incorporate here.) 9/ Free housing for teachers 👩‍🏫 Every new school must come with teacher housing built on-site. Teachers live rent-free. 10/ No property taxes for residents 🏡 Property taxes should only be paid by companies and out of state landlords. If you actually live in your home, it's tax-free.
